ME

I have worked in the Graphic Design industry for 20 years. Over that time I have developed into a hard working and enthusiastic creative designer. I work well under pressure, either on solo projects or in team environments, and my easy going nature allows me to get on well with colleagues and clients. My broad range of skills means I’m confident at taking on new challenges. I have developed my application skills with training throughout my career and now I am Adobe Certified in InDesign. I am organized and accurate with a good eye for detail. I’m also a strong verbal and written communicator. I pride myself on being professional, dependable and somebody you can enjoy working with.


EXPERIENCE

Freelance Graphic Designer: Ongoing
I work with different clients to produce a variety of design solutions for their needs. These can include logos and branding for start up businesses, brochures and magazine design, social media campaigns, illustrations, web sites and books. I am available at short notice and I offer a professional and friendly service.

Senior Designer, JCB, Staffordshire: 2007 – 2020
Working in a busy design studio I had a varied workload which included developing campaigns for JCB products across print, web and social media. I also designed brochures, magazines and books. I worked as brand guardian for JCB Golf and Country Club, where I was responsible for everything from the website through to brochures, golf course furniture, menus, social media posts, photography and clothing.

Graphic Designer, Games Workshop, Nottingham: 2002 – 2007
I designed and created fantasy wargaming rulebooks, catalogues and packaging for the Warhammer game systems. I also took photographs of miniatures and created graphics which were used across a range of promotional material and White Dwarf magazine.

Freelance Designer, Multiple Companies, UK: 2000 – 2002
Working for various companies across the UK I have:
Developed logos and branding.
Designed websites.
Edited and designed business magazines.
Worked on corporate literature, creating brochures, leaflets, charts and graphs.
Created packaging for multiple companies including: Guinness, Gillette, Glenfiddich, Smirnoff Ice and Heinz.
Illustrated characters to be used across websites and promotional material.
Artworked translated versions of financial, educational and medical documents.
Created infographics for financial reports.

Creative Artworker, The Bright Partnership, Sheffield: 1999 – 2000
I worked on the design and artworking of University prospectuses. I gained experience of managing a number of large projects to tight deadlines. Whilst at this job role I learned to typeset to a high level.
